Baylor announced Tuesday it was hiring Temple’s Matt Rhule as its new football coach, which motivated Owls fans to flood the mentions of an unfortunate high school kid who just happens to share the same name.
Temple fans are not happy about the move, and, unbeknownst to them, they are letting a kid born in 2003 hear about it. If I’m this kid, I’m changing my Twitter avatar to a picture of coach Rhule and firing shots back at Temple fans. This kid took a more reasonable approach. Good for him.
To avoid further confusion, the younger Rhule has since changed his Twitter profile to let people know he is not a football coach:
