The Baylor Bears celebrated their national title in style.
The Bears (28-2) defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs (31-1), 86-70, on Monday night in an upset, with the Bulldogs missing an opportunity for the first perfect season since Indiana in 1975-76. This game wasn’t really close, with Baylor holding the lead for the entire game. At one point, their lead hit 20 points, powered by double-digit scoring efforts from guards Jared Butler, Davion Mitchell, MaCio Teague and Adam Flagler.
Gonzaga star Jalen Suggs put up 22 points and three assists while shooting 8 of 15 from the field, but he couldn’t do enough to keep his team competitive. Baylor was too dominant. And their celebration was too much fun. Here are 12 photos from their postgame festivities.
